Download the needed game files from the wow reforged homepage:
Download the latest stable release of Unofficial WineSkin Winery from here:
Download the latest Wine-Mono .msi file from
Now to the actual setup process:
- Unzip WineSkin and install the app. If you get a warning from MacOS just right-click on the app icon and select open.
- Now we need to add a custom Wine Engine to be able to use x32 apps. This unofficial version of WineSkin comes with 4 pre-compiled Engines:
WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.1-1 (10.9 > 10.15)
WS11WineCX19.0.1-1 (10.9 > 10.15)
WS10WineCX64Bit18.5.0 (10.9 > 10.14)
WS10WineCX18.5.0 (10.9 > 10.14)
I have tested all 4 Engines and all 4 work for me but for the sake of a simple "it just works" approach we gonna stick to WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.1-1. To add an engine you have to click on the + symbol. Scroll down and select WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.1-1. https://imgur.com/a/nQwVAAy Click download and install and wait until the process is finished.
- If you never installed wine before the wrapper version should be blank - "No Wrapper Installed". To change that just click on update and click okay. There is not much to choose there and not much you could do wrong.
- Unzip the game files you downloaded from the reforged website. The location is irrelevant since after we are finished we can remove the unzipped wow folder.
